In this work, we review the current state of the art in cold atmospheric plasma for osteosarcoma therapy and future perspectives of investigation in this field.

First, we resume common options for osteosarcoma, the main action of cold plasmas in cancer treatment and advantages against prevailing therapies.

Then, we summarize the potential application of cold plasmas for osteosarcoma and we summarize the known mechanisms up to now on it.

Finally, we discuss potential future approaches of investigation, emphasizing the most critical aspects for the development of osteosarcoma therapies.
