Open Access & Open Science Week at UPC

Nov 06, 2018

EEBE's Library celebrated the Open Access & Open Science Week with several publications at its social networks, under the hashtags #OAweek2018 and # OpenAccessUPC.

From October 22th to the 28th, UPC adhered to the celebration of the International Open Access Week. The 10th edition of the International Open Access Week focused not only on open access, but also on open science: open data, open source, open educational resources, academic social networks, or citizen science.

Within the framework of the X edition of the International Open Access Week, UPC's Libraries organized a lot of activities to encourage students and researchers to publish their research and results in Open Access journals and repositories: from webinars to workshops, coffee-talks or an Open Access Jeopardy Game, among others.

Moreover, EEBE's Library encouraged the use of Open Access and promoted UPC's Open Access repository FUTUR within their social networks, Instagram and Twitter, by publishing pictures of EEBE's researchers and projects that publish in open access journals, such as the ERC APACHE project's Team, who claimed "The APACHE team is compromised with open access: we publish all our work through UPCommons, UPC’s repository".
